Fluor-Silicones

This type of chemical gives surfaces that often exhibit a "low surface energy". This means that when water is applied they form beads/droplets and easily run from the surface. This can translate into a surface that is easily cleaned. Fluor-silicones are under development and are a possible alternative to silicone fouling-release coatings.
